Overview
The Cairns Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is one of Tropical North Queensland's true must-do experiences, taking you on a journey aboard a comfortable gondola up, up and away above the canopy of the stunning, Wet Tropics World Heritage listed Rainforest. As the gateway to the iconic "village in the rainforest", Kuranda, the Skyrail spans a 7.5km distance and features several stops for you to disembark and explore along the way, while providing outstanding views over the lush rainforest canopy and all the way out to the waters of the Great Barrier Reef beyond. The massive expanse of the rainforest takes on a whole new perspective when viewed from this angle, and aboard the Skyrail you'll be able to take in the likes of cascading waterfalls, numerous different types of trees and ferns, and glimpses of regional wildlife.
