Overview
Cruise along the Johnstone River in the tropics with this glass bottom boat safari to explore the beautiful Tropical North Queensland. This two hour cruise encompasses the best of the Queensland tropics and rolls it all into one easy safari tour. Departing Innisfail - a 60 minute drive from Cairns - you'll jump aboard a glass bottom boat for sweeping vies of the area. Keep your eyes peeled as the Johnstone River is home to a number of native Aussie animals including crocodiles, birds, snakes and mud crabs, but don't fret as the experienced crew have a keen eye for spotting these creatures. It's not all about relaxing and cruising, while on board you'll have the chance of catching some live mud crabs as you float around and check the crab pots that were placed in the mangroves earlier. Under the hand of friendly, local guides you'll learn all there is to know about the region and its natural inhabitants while sipping on a refreshing beverage, enjoying a bite to eat and admiring the beautiful scenery. Tours are limited to a maximum of 14 people to ensure guests are comfortable and given a personalisation that is the custom in Far North Queensland. There are four departure times throughout the day; 8:30am, 10:30am, 3:30pm and 5:30pm and all guests are required to organise their own transport to the Innisfail Town Wharf either via driving themselves or catching a bus
