Join the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walk at Mossman Gorge, learning stories of the dreamtime, traditional bush tucker sources and indigenous plant use in this unique rainforest environment. Featuring five main highlights, this tour is a great option for couples, families and tour groups alike and with hotel transfers to and from the tour, exploring the Daintree has never been easier. Upon arriving at Mossman Gorge within the Daintree, you'll embark on the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walk. This leg of the trip will take you on a guided rainforest walk along private, easy graded tracks to visit special and culturally significant sites, traditional bark shelters and cool rainforest streams. Your experienced interpretive indigenous guides will demonstrate traditional plant use, identify bush tucker sources, share their dreamtime legends, explain the history of cave paintings and provide an enchanting narrative of the rainforest and their special relationships within this unique tropical environment. After your 1.5 hour walk you'll be able to enjoy tea, damper and question time with your guide. Following the conclusion of the walking tour, you'll be treated to a delicious lunch at Daintree Tea House. Serving up a barramundi lunch (alternate options are available) you'll feel relaxed and full as you enjoy your meal looking over the picturesque Mossman River. After lunch you'll embark on a scenic cruise along the Daintree River. You'll enjoy a fascinating one hour cruise through this unique wildlife environment, a thriving habitat to birds, tree snakes, unique plants and the estuarine crocodile - this cruise is full of fantastic photo opportunities! Come the end of the tour, you'll finish off in Port Douglas where you will be taken on a short tour of the historic town before continuing back to Cairns.
