Meet at the Information Hub just inside the main entry to the Museum to commence your tour. Overlooking Lake Burley Griffin in the centre of Australia's capital city, Canberra, the National Museum of Australia explores Australian history and culture - Indigenous history, landscape, people, and the journeys that connect Australia with the world. Enjoy a 1 hour guided tour through the Museum's First Australians gallery. The tour focuses on Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' history, cultures, spirituality and connections to country. The tour is designed to give you an insight into Australia's Indigenous history. This tour is a must for international visitors to the Museum.

Cameras: - Photography is permitted in permanent galleries for private purposes only, using hand held equipment. Photography and filming of objects on loan and temporary exhibitions is not allowed. Labels state whether an object is from the National Museum of Australia's collection or elsewhere. Cloaking: - Items where any side is larger than 30cm such as bags, backpacks, umbrellas etc are not permitted in the exhibition areas. Free storage is available in the Hall cloakroom.
