Overview
One of the most popular walking options with a variety of scenery and elevations. This is Natures Best one day walk and combines a scenic cruise with expert commentary, starting at Historic Ship Cove and initially challenging but scenically rewarding walk around to Furneaux Lodge. Duration: 15.5km 3.5 - 5.5 hours
Important Information Special Conditions
1. All bookings are to be made in advance. Failure to provide accurate and complete information for bookings may not be honoured by Beachcomber. It is the responsibility of the Agent to provide accurate information. 2. All departures and tours require a check in of a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the time the tour departs. Please ensure that customers arrive in time for this. 3. Arrival time to Picton is approximate, depending on weather, extended routes, passenger drop off/pick up ect. Please notify the reservations team if your clients have a connecting travel. 4. Beachcomber Cruises cannot be held responsible for clients missing there connecting travel due to circumstances beyond our control causing the delay of their arrival back to Picton. 5. Beachcomber Cruises cannot delay or hold any departure from Picton due to the customers lateness or a delay in ferries, busses, flights ect. We will do our best to transfer the clients to a different departure or tour. 6. We can accept pre paid vouchers from the customer, an invoice will be sent the appointed person once the customers have departed Picton on their tour. 7. Whilst ashore customers are responsible for their own health and safety. 8. Whilst on board our vessels we will take all reasonable care to ensure that the steps are taken to prevent accident or injury. 9. Customers must listen and adhere to any safety messages or instructions given to them by our crew and staff both on land and on our vessels. 10. Children are under the care and instruction of their parent or adult caregiver and must be in their sight at all times whilst on board our vessels. 11. Child prices are 5-14 years inclusive. 12. Infants under 5 year old travel free of charge with a paying adult. 13. Water taxi rates may be subject to after-hours fees, excessive freight charges, please confirm the rate when booking. 14. Beachcomber Cruises reserves the right to alter or amend timetables, cancel departures, substitute equipment. 15. All luggage transported on our vessels must be within our limit of 20kg maximum per item. Excess luggage fees may be charged if baggage outweighs this. 16. Please note that a $12 one day or $25 multi day Queen Charlotte Land Owners Pass (for the 19/20 season) may need to be purchased by your client upon check in to walk certain sections of the Queen Charlotte track. Our reservations staff will make you aware of this upon booking if necessary. * The 8:00am departure can also include an additional stop at Motuara Island (specific products only) for an extra $5 per person. The 8:00am departure only runs during the Summer months October to April. 17. If disembarking at Resolution Bay there is $5 per person fee payable to the private land owners at the wharf. Resolution Bay is private land that the customers must walk over to reach the Queen Charlotte Track. 18. There is long term public car parking on Wellington Street, a council pay and display at $5 per 24 hours. Please ask your customers to arrange their parking prior to check in. This is suitable for rental car parking and is not the responsibility of Beachcomber Cruises. 19. Day in the Sounds passengers may choose their destination for the day; Ship Cove, Furneaux Lodge or Punga Cove Resort. All food and drink are payable to the resort. There are no food and beverage facilities at Ship Cove. Sounds Sea and Air Adventure due to the inclusion of a helicopter component, this tour is subject to weather conditions. 20. The Queen Charlotte Track: The Great Track and Pack Pass includes: return passenger transport to the chosen start and end point of the track on our scheduled services, luggage transfers along the track ( 1 x 20kg Max pp). Additional transfers along the track are an extra cost. The Queen Charlotte Track has a unique partnership with the Department of Conservation, Marlborough District Council and Private landowners. A QCTLC pass is required to walk certain sections of the track, this pass contributes to the upkeep, maintenance and sustainability of the track. $12 for one day or $25 for a 5 day pass, this can be purchased by your client upon check in. If disembarking at Resolution Bay, there is a $5 charge per person payable to the private land owners at the wharf.

Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking. unless booked within 4 days of travel. In this case confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the tour. All booking confirmations will be subject to availability. Fares, itineraries and days of operations are subject to change due to unforseen circumstances or operational limitations. A fuel levy may apply when world oil prices exceed the allowance in the fare. There is limited luggage allowance on the Day Tours. Please check with the supplier directly in case you are carrying more luggage on the tour day.

Inclusions
Your adventure will begin as you cruise north from Picton on one of our fleet through the drowned river valleys of the Queen Charlotte Sound and past idyllic bays. As we head towards Ship Cove your skipper will talk about the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area and if there is time- will get closer to any passing wildlife, including dolphins who like to play in the wake of the boat.
